Previously, it was believed that almost everyone is susceptible to these paradoxes of perception, and it is impossible to learn to avoid their effect. However, recently, British researchers in a series of experiments showed that certain skills acquired during training for professions in the field of medical imaging can help reduce susceptibility to visual illusions.
